A Celebration Tricia Woods Style

Please join us this Friday, February 4th at 8pm, for a concert of music celebrating the life of pianist and bandleader Tricia Woods. Performers will include Wayne Horvitz, Geoff Harper, Dawn Clement, Robin Holcomb, Craig Flory, Mike Stone, Teri Nelson-Zagar, Tom Varner, Andy Roth and more.

Tricia Woods was a pianist and bandleader who lived in Seattle in the late 80s and early 90s and was part of a scene that included many of the musicians above as well as Briggan Krauss, Reggie Watts, Eyvind Kang and many others.

All the compositions and improvisations presented Friday night will feature the piano and will include music and artists Tricia loved plus a premiere of a piece written by Wayne Horvitz in Tricia’s memory that will be performed by all the participants.

Chad McCullough video from Belgium

Chad McCullough and John Bishop are in Europe in support of their new release, Imaginary Sketches, with Belgium pianist Bram Weijters and bassist Piet Verbist. A video has been posted from their performance at The Appeltuin Jazz Festival in Leuven, Belgium.

On this show Lionel Beuvens was filling in for John Bishop on drums, who missed the show due to illness.
