from Earshot Jazz: Composer and saxophonist Jacob Zimmerman conducts local musicians through an array of classic songs from the world of Disney, at the Royal Room, Saturday, September 14, 7pm and 9:30pm (21+). Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Memorable songs from The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, The Lion King and Toy Story comprise the evening’s program. Vocalists Robin Holcomb, Rachel DeShon, Jimmie Herrod, Katie Jacobson and Michael Stegner feature in front of an 8-piece orchestra, including Logan Heine (alto saxophone), Steve Treseler (clarinet/tenor saxophone), Christian Pincock (trombone), Ray Larsen (trumpet), Olivia Cacchione (harp), Wayne Horvitz (piano/organ), Abbey Blackwell (bass) and Chris Icasiano (drums).
