Trombonist Chris Stover, who moved to New York to teach music theory at The New School, will be back in Seattle for a show at The Royal Room featuring two of his groups.

7:00pm Chris Stover’s Acquired Involuntary Narcissism
Chris Stover’s 12-piece big band, a long-time fixture in Seattle, is back after a three-year hiatus! Featuring some of Seattle’s finest improvising musicians, and Stover’s original compositions and arrangments of songs by Elvis Costello, Bob Marley, and Johannes Brahms.

8:30pm Frieze of Life
Co-lead by Greg Sinibaldi and Chris Stover, the award-winning Frieze of Life was described by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as “the most exciting music in the region.” Featuring Mark Taylor, Thomas Marriott, Geoff Harper, and Byron Vannoy.
